Monday's speaker was Revd Philip Swan, Director of World Mission in the Diocese of Lichfield.
I will just share the key points of his message!
We are so preoccupied with our little corner that we forget our brothers and sisters in Christ in the rest of the world.

Be surprised to what God has installed for us! God is so much bigger than we can imagine. 
•The Son is…the firstborn over all creation…..

• He is before all things, and in him all things hold together……

•Through him to reconcile to himself all things…..

Posted 28 November                               The Average Anglican  ...is black, female, under 30, has 3 children, lives  on 2 dollars a day, walks 3km for water, is related  to someone with HIV/AIDS, and is evangelical... As an Anglican in England I found this a  fascinating comment on the development  of Anglicanism. Has anyone any comments? The Prayer of Thanksgiving

 Is the Father with us?
 He is.
 Is Christ among us?
 He is.
 Is the Spirit here?
 He is.
 This is our God.
 Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I am with you!

When we have to face a difficult situation, it is good to affirm our faith and remember that our Father in heaven cares for us so much everyday. Pick up your bible or google a bible app where you will find many verses that tell us about putting our trust in the Lord at all times and many others that tell us not to be fearful. 

This morning, I stopped on these verses inIsaiah 41:10(NIV)

10 So do not fear,(A) for I am with you;(B)
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen(C) you and help(D) you;
    I will uphold you(E) with my righteous right hand.(F)

Just a notice to let you know that there will be an Alpha course starting in Salt village hall on Tuesday 20 January.

The aim is simple: to explore the meaning of life. Each week a different aspect of the Christian faith is introduced and explained in clear, simple language. After a meal, participants watch a presentation and have the opportunity to discuss and challenge what they have heard, express their opinions, and listen to the experiences of others in their group.
During the course, many people find faith in Jesus for the first time. Others have their existing faith deepened and refreshed. Some just finish the course with a clearer understanding of what Christians believe and why.
The course is open to anyone, regardless of current beliefs or affiliations to other Churches. Alpha is for everyone who wants to explore life’s big questions. Feel free to come along and bring a friend!
