Good morning my friends.
Are you a child at heart? I hope so and in that case this song is for you!

Simon Peter and Andrew his brother
James and John the sons of thunder
Philip and Bartholomew
and lest you doubt Thomas too
James the son of Alphaeus
Matthew used to make us nervous
Leadeus or Thaddeus or Judas, the son of James, he may have other names
Simon the Zealot and
Judas the Isacariot betrayer of the Lord

these are the 12 apostles

You can see this 'byzantine' frescoe in Auzance (Creuse) in the Puy de Dome. 

This is Jesus' last meal shared with the 12 apostles.
On the table a bread and a fish stand, symbols of the very first Christians, as much as a chalice and a host, symbols of Christ's blood and body.
While the apostles are listening to Jesus, Judas the traitor who sold him for 30 golden coins, is swallowed (on the left) by a dragon.

A thirsty Canada goose!

It's been a beautiful Sunday, sunny and peaceful.After buying more carrots and kale for our rabbits in Rugeley, I stopped on the way back at the Wolseley wildlife center just in case I'd see the resident kingfisher. Alas, he was not around. A Canada goose caught my attention and I decided to film it. It's a very short video clip that nevertheless took ages to upload on youtube!

My parents were at the circus when I was born

As I am back from our hols, I have just read a beautiful story..let me share it with you.
My parents were at the circus when I was born. I’m sure they were having a great time celebrating my brother’s sixth birthday, but I was at the hospital, being born.

I was adopted at birth.

Everything was arranged before I was born, and when I was just five days old, my brother, Jeremy, carried me out with the caseworker to present me to my parents and bring me home. 

I had spiky hair and I was delivered with forceps, which temporarily pinched a nerve and made my mouth hang down on one side so I had a crooked smile. 

But when my brother carried me out in his six year old arms, he presented me to my parents and said, “Isn’t she pretty? Doesn’t she look just like me?!”

There are times when God intervenes in our lives in nearly flagrant ways. He interrupts the logical order of things, and turns everything upside down in the best way possible. In my case, He took me from being an unplanned pregnancy, to a pined-after, “chosen child” in a family where I have been inordinately loved.
