Walnut brownies

We had a lovely  afternoon; after  a service in Magné (shall I say half a service because we were late) near Gencay we found our way back home without getting lost!
Our 9 friends and Ray's dog Bobby, arrived at 2pm as Steven had moved the bbq by Christopher hut in case it rained!

Family

A special family time!
So nice to have our relatives visiting us in France. They arrived yesterday in Limoges so we were all pretty tired last night. Their flight from Bristol was a bit delayed.
This morning, we went to the Tuesday market in the heart of Civray. It was really busy and of course full of English people lol!
We are so blessed that they managed to book a week off at the same time. Of course the chef, Steven A. is busy bbq and cutting melons!

Off to the Kerygma bus

We are off to the Kerygma bus and tonight, it's bbq time, an event that the children enjoy very much!

There is no bus in the summer, we all meet under a gazebo in the Playing Fields. Two weeks ago, it was another exciting event, the Talent Show. I was honoured to be asked if I could be one of the judges..and we found it hard to chose, every candidate was sooooo good!
Have a lovely evening. Blessings in Christ. N.

Visiting Wales

Our half-term week has been hectic but nevertheless relaxing! Steven left as soon as he was ready, Friday at lunch time. I left at 5pm for Talbot Green, a tiny place near the Rhonda Valley. I was doing fine until my phone died so no more satnav! I missed the sign for Talbot Green and I kept on going on Ely Valley Road even though I thought it could not be that far!
It was getting dark  and in the end, I stopped and asked for directions to a couple of youngsters outside a corner shop. One of them answered but  talked so fast that all I could understand was the fire station (I did go past a fire station) I asked him politely to repeat and again no luck. I knocked on the door of the corner shop and they told me I had to go back to Llantrisant so it was 10 pm when I arrived at the tiny campsite by Llanharry Road! Steven and Pauline were worried.
The last three days went so fast: we had great fun seeing each other again, catching up with each other news, enjoying a great bbq every day.
