Exciting time ahead

Dear friends, you may or not be aware that we have moved to France since the end of February and I have been pondering over the future of this blog. Should I end it and start another one, one matching a new exciting time ahead in our life. 
Then again, I thought that bearing in mind that time is precious and my knowledge in blogging hasn't improved much, I will abstain from changing blog.
So what's new?
1 Shall I pick on Steven first? Is he learning French? ..nop
2 One question for me...Have I found a job? ...nop
3 Is Steven still practising what he is best at...bbq?....yes with a gas bbq! Really as Verity Yarwood told him, he's become a traitor to the charcoal bbq league!
4 Have I found another friend to Christopher rabbit yet? ...nop..
5 Do we have a French TV...nop...English thank you very much and we enjoyed watching the two programmes for our Queen's 90th birthday, the BBC one and the ITV one.

An amazing week!

Dear friends, I hope that your week went well. What did you do?

I have spent most of my amazing week doing those:

- getting up early, not fun! It would be fun if I went to bed earlyish but as don't, I feel exhausted...still I love going to work and I can drive to Leek now without the satnav! 

- reading the Bible, this is a joyful time. I have also been pondering about memorising verses better  and as I was talking to my friend Lilly, she mentioned the 'writing' and 'reading' method. I almost dismissed it to start with because I have done that for a while and I am not sure it works. Then thinking about it again, I realise the time I spend on a passage is not repetitive enough, what i mean, is that instead of reading a passage on Monday and moving on, I decided that I am going to spend two or three days on the same passage i.e. last week, I practised on Galatians 5 and this week I am reading Luke 6..guess what? it works! 

- meeting up with my friends on the days I'm not working; that's great and I feel so blessed

- having great fellowship at Milwich village hall for another session of the Pilgrim course. 

-  baking brownies, I managed to do one lot following a recipe without butter or oil, replacing them by low-fat yoghurt (only 6% fat) and they came out nice and gooey. Let me know if you want the recipe! 

- looking after our rabbits, mainly stopping them from visiting the neighbours' garden hopping through a protected hedge! It's hard work, the minute you fill up a gap, they find another one!

-  listening to worship music on my YouTube channel and you may want to subscribe to my channel! 

- I've just added a Po.st sharing button on the right side of this blog. It was not too difficult! Sharing the good news using sharing buttons..

A prayer now, Abba father, thank you for the many blessings this week your pour on our lives lavishly. Though we don't deserve any by our own merit, you surround us with your tender love and you look after us day by day. When we fail, we cry out to you and you hear us and pick us up because you are full of compassion. We ask you to bless us and to protect us as well as our family and friends in the powerful name of Jesus, our saviour and redeemer. Amen.

Kale or sprout?

I was wondering why the price of kale's s gone higher in some supermarkets but not at our local marke (Stone). I read the following in the Telegraph not in a health magazine!

For all the attempts by fashionable chefs to dress them up with pancetta, chestnuts or even hazlenut chimichurri, for many people there remains something fundamentally unpalatable about Brussels sprouts.

So it comes as something of a surprise to find that the humble - and much maligned - sprout has given birth to the latest 'superfood’.Born from a cross between Brussels sprouts and kale, the flower sprout has not only become increasingly popular with British shoppers but is now being exported around the world. Sales have grown by 300 per cent in the last three years and it is now being stocked by a number of leading supermarkets, including Waitrose, M&S, Asda, Sainsburys and the Co-op. 

The new breed of green vegetable, which was first developed fifteen years ago, is praised by its advocates for its sweet 'nutty’ flavour and versatility in the kitchen. Like kale and sprouts, the flower sprout is also classed as a 'superfood’ because it is a good source of vitamins and dietary fibre.

Voila! At the moment, its the vegetable that our two rabbits love the most...I should try it and then convince my hubby that it's tasty too!

You haven't got long!

As I am not working at the moment, I try to scrounge lifts in town whenever! With the view of saving some diesel. At lunch time, my hubby announced that he was leaving for town now! I was ready so off we went through the door then he asked me about the letter! Oups it was still there on the table in the hall! When we arrived in Stafford, he dropped me at the cinema. Don't forget, you haven't got long!
I walked all the way to the post office which is in WHSmith. This took me 10 minutes. No need to queue!
I picked up a book on Publishing companies and read two pages about ghost-writing. Interesting facts. I'd heard about it but didn't think it developed so much!
Time was ticking so I went back to Tesco through the park and took those photos. Right on time for a change.
What a beautiful day, a bit cold but so bright!

I have a question for you! How do you deal with interruptions when you are blogging? Let me know! Have a blessed night/day! N.

Does this ever happen to you?

For instance, the minute you are engrossed in something really interesting, i.e. just now, I was in the middle of reading a new post (Why did God create evil?), I got interrupted by our daughter asking why there was a cardboard box full of bath  towels in the middle of her room! How do I know? on second thoughts, it was probably brought there by mistakes because when we moved back in there were so many boxes everywhere...
Earlier on, my personal chef (lol) asked me whether I wanted some home grown potatoes and beans. I politely said no thanks, I'd rather have a tomatoe salad..For some reason,  I never had time to make my salad so when the fish appeared, I asked him if there was enough for me too..grumble grumble, ok, why did you change your mind...Don't know! Just did!
I have been told recently that my vocabulary includes too many of these: basically, anyway, well.. I did not say anything, wondering why/when I had started to use these regularly. The following day, at break, my colleagues and I were chatting away, and within 5 minutes, I'd heard the word 'basically' 5 times. Could this be a simple osmosis?

By Friday afternoon, I feel absolutely shattered. However I will persevere and do some chores, i.e. hoovering. I looked at the pile of ironing and decided that it could wait until tomorrow morning! And later on I thought I would read my friends' blogs. This is when I discovered the following song! Beautiful! You may know it already.

So I hope you will enjoy following her adventure in Italy and exchange thoughts/comments on the Italian life...It's such a long time I went to Italy ..all I remember is going round the museums and admiring Leonardo's paintings and any Roman stones...oh I forgot..my brother wanting more ice-cream! (well he was only 5 at the time!)
